【5/26まで @東京】講師：Riri Yakub 氏（インドネシア建築家協会に所属する若手建築家）『Exhibition & Discussion Night | “More Or Less” by Atelier Riri』

Atelier Ririはインドネシアのジャカルタを拠点とする建築事務所で、革新的なデザインとコラボレーション・プロジェクトへのコミットメントで知られています。私たちの建築に対するアプローチは、シンメトリー・アシンメトリー両方のレンズを通して見る、バランスという概念を中心に展開されています。簡素なシンメトリーに対し、アシンメトリーのダイナミックで躍動的な性質は私たちを魅了します。私たちは後者を心から受け入れています。

私たちは建築を構成する際、空間や形だけでなく、人、環境、自然、光、素材などの要素を織り交ぜて考えます。私たちが “More Or Less” と呼ぶこの総合的なアプローチは、そこに”More”があれば”Less”もあり、その逆もまた然り、という私たちの信念を強調するものです。この哲学は、私たちの仕事の礎となっています。

インドネシア建築家協会(IAI)とBYO Livingにサポートをいただき、私たちはコピカリアン東京とコラボレーションし、カフェを展示スペースに変身させます。私たちにとってバランスとは単なるデザイン原則ではなく、私たちの建築活動のあらゆる側面を形作る指針となる理念であることを、この展覧会を通してぜひご覧いただければと思います。

Atelier Riri is an architecture firm based in Jakarta, Indonesia, known for its commitment to innovative design and collaborative projects. At Atelier Riri, our approach to architecture revolves around the concept of balance, seen through the lens of both symmetry and asymmetry. While symmetry may offer simplicity, it’s the dynamic and vibrant nature of asymmetrical balance that truly captivates us. This is why we’ve wholeheartedly embraced the latter.

In our architectural compositions, we don’t just consider space and form; we weave together elements like people, environment, nature, light, and materials. This holistic approach, which we refer to as “More Or Less”, underscores our belief that where there is ‘More’, there is also ‘Less’, and vice versa. This philosophy is the cornerstone of our work.

Supported by Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) and BYO Living as a part of BYO Living & Wonders of Weaving. We are collaborating with Kopi Kalyan Tokyo, transforming the café into an exhibition space tailored to our needs. Through this exhibition, we invite you to explore how balance isn’t just a design principle for us but a guiding ethos that shapes every aspect of our architectural endeavors.
